it still bothers me why we use RCA for high-end DJ turntables / Media players, instead of XLR or min-XLR. Like the gear in this space is constantly evolving, we've had major improvements in the turntable space for the past few years, but still all phono cables and phono inputs on mixer are RCA. Anyone knows is there a limitation to the phono signal that explains why it should be via RCA?

I noticed the xlr connections to my speakers have different volume levels even when I set the speakers at the same volume. Have you had issues with one of the xlr outputs being less powerful than the other?

Help!! I got a new projector 2 weeks ago. Worked fine to cast from iPhone via official Apple lightening to hdmi connector. All of a sudden, it won’t work at all now to cast my phone screen. Tried resetting both devices several times, but the projector just keeps saying no hdmi signal

I was reading in the manual and it states that you can leave to battery in the unit and charge the battery from the external usbc port. I imagine you would have to get a very short usbc to usbc cable and hook up the battery in the compartment using the usbc port on the battery. (This port will be able to be used both for powering out and for charging.) If this was the case you could leave the battery in the compartment permanently. I have been playing around with this mixer for a few days , and I love it. Good job Mackie.

Keep in mind the SM7b comes with a built in shock mount and pop filter, the PR40 used here has no shock mount or pop filter...Bob Heil(SK) knew what he has doing having worked with bands like ZZ Top and Joe Walsh.

Watching this 3 years after you've posted. Great video! Easy choice between these two. The SM58 sounds so much better. Much fuller richer sound. The podmic is much thinner. I do think the podmic looks a little better. But prefer the sm58 sound

I use Rocksmith 2014 to learn songs and after adding my Focusrite 2i2 DAW, I've been chasing my latency issue for over a year with no answers from Steam Community, Ubisoft or anyone else. Thanks for this! I'm running this unit into an AER 60. The sound is incredibly loud with just a little bit of volume. I'm not complaining. But how do you set it up for better output sound given that you can adjust volume on the AER, the gain, the faders, and the stereo mix?

The reason why I don’t want to get an interface I was interested in getting the Apollo twin but it’s so complex and so complicated. I’m not sure. I’ll be successful. I’m still learning ableton live 12 and I wanna focus on that because the interface is like a whole Nother world. It’s too much information for me all at once. It’s like you have to learn a whole Nother ecosystem. Then you have to use the keyboard and learn that too. It’s too much I want to focus on learning the program first, and have it in some speakers rather than my laptop
